Bidders that rely on the financial standing of a guarantor may use the standard Form of Guaranty appended to the Master Energy Supply Agreement (“MESA”).
The Alternate Guaranty Process is an opportunity for bidders to submit an alternate guaranty form for consideration by AEP Ohio and is entirely optional.
AEP Ohio has specified a list of minimum requirements that any alternate guaranty form must satisfy. These requirements are listed in the Alternate Guaranty Process document, posted to the Information – Documents page.
The deadline to submit an alternate form of guaranty and all required documentation is Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Due to the short timeframes for the upcoming Auction, it is sufficient for bidders wishing to participate in the process to submit their intent to submit an alternate guaranty form by the deadline of March 4, 2014. If at least an intent to submit is received from a bidder by the deadline, the bidder will receive additional time to submit the remainder of the required materials.
Bidders that choose to submit an alternate guaranty form must submit their intent and all required materials electronically by email to the Auction Manager at AEP-CBP@nera.com.
